North Hertfordshire Museum

The museum illustrates life in the area from prehistory to the present day, with thousands of fascinating objects, and cutting edge interactive displays. Many of the items have never before been on public display. The displays include a Victorian pharmacy; rare football items, including Bert Trautmann’s neckbrace and Stanley Matthews’ boots; and paintings by the Camden Town artists Spencer Gore and  William Ratcliffe. If you are interested in art, archaeology, natural history, local history or military history, this is the museum for you. We have a superb new Learning Centre for workshops and activities, and a well-appointed Local Studies Centre.
