Royston and District Museum & Art Gallery sits at the heart of the Royston community and celebrates the wonderful stories of the town and its people. The museum is housed in a beautiful Victorian Sunday school room, which during WW2 became home to an American red cross service station. Highlights of the collection include a history of Royston and its surrounding villages from prehistory to present day. There are also arts and crafts movement ceramics and glassware, the Royston Tapestry, and the 1855 Columbian printing press which produced the first ever Royston Crow newspaper. The museum runs a year round programme of events and activities for all ages.
