The International Garden Cities Exhibition

Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation founded the International Garden Cities Institute with the purpose of understanding the role of the Garden City Movement across the world. Working with academics and professionals in this field, we will be seeking to understand the practical interpretations of Garden City Principles and how these can be applied as part of the solution to today’s worldwide growth agenda. The Institute is a central resource for academics, professionals and individuals who share our interest and commitment to the Garden City Movement, and an advocate for Garden City principles when planning new places. The International Garden Cities Exhibtion explores the history of the Garden Cities Movement from Ebenezer Howard’s revolutionary idea, to its legacy across the world, right up to its current ‘in vogue’ status in news headlines today.
