North Herts Museum is partly open. Our downstairs gallery and temporary exhibition space are open to the public. The upstairs gallery can be seen by attending one of our free bookable tours.
The museum illustrates life in the area from prehistory to the present day, with thousands of fascinating objects, and cutting edge interactive displays. Many of the items have never before been on public display. The displays include a Victorian pharmacy; rare football items, including Bert Trautmann’s neckbrace and Stanley Matthews’ boots; and paintings by the Camden Town artists Spencer Gore and William Ratcliffe. If you are interested in art, archaeology, natural history, local history or military history, this is the museum for you.
