Stotfold Watermill

Stotfold Mill is a Grade II listed working watermill and adjacent 8.5 acre Local Nature Reserve set in a lovely tranquil spot on the River Ivel. The mill’s notable features are the 4.2 metre wide overshot waterwheel, which is the widest in a cornmill in the UK and the rare embossed hursting frame, installed in 1897 by Whitmore & Binyon. The museum section includes displays of milling artefacts, rural crafts and trades. There are Steam Fairs, events and exhibitions throughout the year. Milling demonstrations on open days produce quality stone ground flour, available to purchase in the gift shop.
