Take a family journey through the rich and exciting history of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire with a free Museum Explorer Passport. Collect yours from a participating local museum and begin your expedition through time, taking in the Roman invasion, the magic of steam railways and the rapid rise of the industrial age. Museums throughout both counties are running holiday events, activities and trails for families. Go along and get your passport stamped at each museum you visit and take part in our challenges. Your child will get a stamp for each challenge they complete and pick up a small prize for completing their challenges.
The passport has been created in partnership with museums across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire with the aim of encouraging families to visit museums. It aims to show families how many great museums there are on their doorstep, providing a range of fantastic, affordable activities during the holidays.
Passports are also available in libraries. The scheme runs until the end of October half term.
