Hertfordshire is fortunate in having a wide range of museums housed in an eclectic mix of buildings, including schools, churches, mills and forges. Hertfordshire Association of Museums contains sites both big and small including museums housed in, and run by, local communities, and larger museums such as Verulamium Museum in St. Albans and the Natural History Museum in Tring.
A visit to one of Hertfordshire's museums is an interesting and rewarding experience for all ages. The varied and interesting collections housed in our museums range from social history to archaeology and art so there is something for everyone.
